Dahn Yoga experience – Joanne Riske

I just experienced my first Dahn Mu Do (Qigong) [a martial arts form of Dahn Yoga] class and realized it has almost been a year since I became a Dahn member with my husband.

I mentioned to my instructor that I wanted to build strength and balance.

What has transpired over this almost year has been so much more than I ever thought I needed or would attain. I did not realize how destructive all my internal dialogue is on my body.

Through the classes, which we attend regularly, I’ve been able to feel the healing power of energy within me and a contentment has started to wield it’s way into my life. The family of members at the center is also a warm embrace filling me with cosmic energy.

Through various types of Dahn training, I have been given a chance to let the little me come out to play again. This I did not even know I needed to let happen when I signed up in February 2005.

So, as Dahn Mu Do (Qigong) class [a martial arts form of Dahn Yoga] has started and we learn to walk I am thrilled to be taking these baby steps to help me see a brighter light within me.
